FORPOLIS Annual Report 2023

Forpolis – Institute for the Development of Communities and Settlements is an independent platform that brings together experts from the fields of geography, regional studies, sociology or philosophy. These experts are not only academics, but also represent the private and public sectors.

Forpolis deals with topics that affect the development of municipalities and the impact of this development on the state of the surrounding landscape. It targets all actors of regional development, such as representatives, mayors of municipalities or developers of strategic and development documents of local governments. It popularizes professional topics and spreads awareness among the lay and professional public.

In terms of personnel, Forpolis is connected to the Department of Regional Development and Public Administration of the FSE UJEP and, with the faculty’s kind permission, uses its facilities.
